The officer team was elected to serve and represent the members of Camas DECA. Throughout the year they plan events that align with DECA’s mission to prepare students for college and career. The officer team is always available to support Camas DECA members and they are looking forward to an amazing year!

Esha minhas (she/her)


Esha is the 2020-2021 Camas DECA President! As the Camas DECA President, she plans to connect with all chapter members, mentor incoming students, and make this year one of the best! Esha is currently a senior and this will be her fourth year and final year in DECA. She will forever be grateful for the countless opportunities, friends, experiences, and memories that DECA has given her since she was just a freshman.

In her free time, she loves to hang out with her friends, go on drives, spend time with her family, and watch football. After high school, Esha plans to attend a four year university to get her bachelors degree in marketing/business.

Akshaya Sakala (she/her)


Akshaya is a junior at Camas High School and is excited to embark on the 3rd year of her DECA journey. She is the 2021-2022 Vice President of Camas DECA as well as the Area 9 president for Washington DECA. She credits DECA for giving her opportunities to grow her professional network and make countless memories with lifelong friends.

When she isn’t devoted to DECA, Akshaya enjoys baking new delicacies, going on drives, playing the piano, and painting! Although unsure of what career she’d like to pursue, Akshaya hopes to integrate her interests in her future and knows that DECA will help her develop key skills to pursue her passions. Akshaya wants to continue to support the members of Camas DECA because they inspire her with their constant passion and commitment to bettering themselves and their community.

Madelin MCARTHUR (she/her)


Maddie is a current junior in her third year of DECA here at Camas. She will be the 2021-2022 Director of Competition. She hopes to carry on and strengthen the competitive edge Camas Deca achieves each year. In addition to DECA, Maddie participates in Mock Trial, Model UN, and MyVote Project. At this time she hopes to attend the University of Washington and study either business administration or political science. In her free time she enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, and reading.

AiDAN HOOD (he/him)


Aidan is the Director of Social Activities for the 2021-2022 school year. Aidan plans on organizing various social events to engage chapter members and increase DECA-fun! He has been involved in DECA since he was a sophomore and immediately loved the program. Aidan understands the importance of the DECA socials as he made many of his friends in the club at the DECA social events. Aidan is super happy with his years in the club as he has been able to learn more about the business world and business etiquette. Outside of DECA, Aidan enjoys thrifting, reading, spending time with friends and Roblox. He plans on attending a 4-year university and getting a business degree.



Ryley is going to be a senior this year. She was an officer last year as the Director of Social Media and this year will serve as director of promotion. Ryley has been in DECA for all four years of high school! In her free time she likes to hike and be outside. Ryley has 3 three dogs. Her favorite TV shows are Greys Anatomy and Criminal Minds.



Karli is the 2021-2022 Camas DECA Director of Social Media! As the Director of Social Media, she plans to improve the communication between chapter members and officers, grow the various Camas DECA social media platforms, and utilize their graphic design skills in various ways. Karli is currently a sophomore and this will be their second year in DECA. She is excited to follow the path of her well-known brother and continue competing in DECA throughout high school. Karli is also excited to help mentor new DECA students just as she has been mentored in the past. In her free time, she enjoys designing and using Adobe software, competitively swimming, thrifting with their friends, and tending to their many houseplants. Karli is very excited to work as a part of the officer team this year and to meet all of the new DECA students!
