THERE ARE 4 STEPS TO APOD 

1. NOMINATE YOUR DOG (8/14 - 9/5)

Fill out the application form as soon as nominations open (Aug. 14th) and start planning a creative campaign to help your pup stand out! Our DECA chapter will review all submissions and select 15 finalists with the best campaign plans to run in the official election.

2. CAMPAIGN FOR VOTES (9/8 - 9/19)

Every $1 donated counts as one vote** toward your favorite furry candidate. Votes are driven by your campaign's creativity and, of course, pure puppy passion!

We encourage all dog runner families to reach out to family, friends, coworkers, etc to earn the most votes.

3. ATTEND OUR STREET FAIR (9/19)

Bring friends and family on September 19th from 11-2pm for our annual street fair celebrating all our community's furry friends. Bring the whole family to enjoy local food trucks, retail vendors, and pet-friendly activities running all day long.

4. CROWN DOG MAYOR

The dog who raises the most votes (donations) will be officially crowned the Camas APOD Dog Mayor! Prizes and official certificates will be awarded on stage by our city's actual mayor, Steve Hogan.

Congratulations to Chewie, the 2025 All Paws on Deck Dog Mayor! 

Chewie raised $3806 for the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, all of which will go directly toward supporting local animals in need.

Chewie has been a community favorite, and this year he proudly earned the Dog Mayor title after an exciting race. His charm, spirit, and loyal support from the community helped lead him to victory.

Camas DECA would also like to congratulate our first runner-up, Scotch, who rallied incredible support and made this one of the most memorable Dog Mayoral elections yet!

Scotch also made a difference and raised $2732 for the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society!!
